Addison Office & Plant Murals
Two murals (one 25’x20’, the other 11’x8’) installed in the Addison HVAC factory floor and office space in Orlando, Florida. Completed Summer 2023.
__________
When Addison first reached out to me about painting two murals in their facility, I have to admit, I was a bit surprised. I’d never imagined I would be asked to install artwork in an office and manufacturing plant in the Orlando metro area!
As it turned out, Addison soon became a remarkable client for more than their unique sector alone. Each and every member of the office, warehouse, and plant staff here was SO friendly— it quickly became apparent just how much the family-like atmosphere of this company impacts their everyday culture.
I definitely drew upon that approachable spirit when it came to the inspiration for these two pieces; a timeline wall honoring Addison’s long and prestigious history, as well as a bright and inspiring modern-landscape mural next to the plant floor. The type and iconography seen in both designs was chosen to reflect the friendliness and global nature of Addison’s company culture. We even added some “easter eggs” that Addison employees will recognize in the larger mural, from a nod to their beloved R.I.S.E. program, to the Global Flag celebrating the diversity of their body of employees, and even silhouettes of the units they build dotted along the city skyline!
Many thanks to my friend/assistant painter Nicole Hartzog (without whom this would not have been possible) as well as David Salyer for all of his help coordinating this installation!
KIND WORDS
“A recommendation from a local creative agency connected us with Morgan for our large mural project. We had decided to do something to celebrate our employees and their drive to make the world safer, healthier and more productive. Morgan immediately dived in, met our team, got a feel for our culture (including staff from over 35 different countries), and how we enable everyone to RISE each day. The mural concept and final product was better than we could have imagined, and it’s illuminated our entire facility. We can’t wait to bring Morgan back once Building 2 is completed for another round.”
